This winter holiday was FREEZING. The icy wind stung every uncovered particle of skin and it was even snowing!! The confused weather man quitted, but no-one really liked him.

Kids, even teenagers and adults everywhere were snow-fighting, skiing and doing all sorts of snow activities.I was making snowmen, a whole family of them. I just loved making snowmen, and found it super easy. It was getting darker and darker, but I didn’t notice. Soon, I was the only kid left.

Instead of making a simple family, I made a large crowd of snow-People. Once I got off from snow-man planet, I started making my way home. I knew loads of short-cuts, but the shortest one had a lot of trees in the way. I was trying to think of a good excuse for my lateness when I saw a beautiful, glowing silver light which wiped my mind blank. I blinked. It was gone, I thought I was hallucinating but the next second, it flashed again. I thought it was just a lost flash-light, but the light was so bright and … graceful. I just had to go near it.

The light was glowing on a very low and leafless branch. All that light had come from a small, winged creature. It was about ten centimetres high and looked really fragile. The creature saw me, alerted it drew a tiny and silver stick and raised it like a sword. Then, the icy wind blew and it fell unconscious on the branch. The light was fading away from it. It was dying, dying from the cold and snow. I had to save it. I carefully lifted it up and lay it gently in my hand. It was as cold as ice.

I started racing home as soon as possible. I tried warming it up, putting it near the heater and trying to keep it as warm as possible. My mum was next to me, confused, she asked, “What are you doing?” I stared at her. -“Can’t you see it?”  - “hmm? See what?”    I couldn’t believe it, my mum can’t see it. Was I imagining things? It seemed so real, and I could even feel it. I went towards my room, holding the strange creature in my hand, and covered it up. I went to dinner, trying to pinch a few pieces for that creature in case it was hungry. I went back to my room, but it was gone, the window was slightly opened. I left the food on the table and went to sleep. Thus, I never saw it again.
